Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
A free verse poem

Change comes from within

I watched her from a distance

As she rustled around for change

A brief glimpse

 

You could loosen your grip a bit, I thought to myself

Her eyes caught mine

I chide myself

 

I could learn a thing or two

From this frazzled stranger, caught unaware

She clutched her satchel, as though it contained her sanity

 

She pulled out her 2 cents

she doesn’t need mine
