The Perfect Six Contest Entry
I've got a perfect tale to tell, and sixes to collect.
In fact, you really might as well scroll down and preselect.
Oh, please don't cry, or scream "GOD, WHY!?" to find you're running low,
How randomly unplanned of me to post right when they show!
Okay, so once there was a girl, let's call her... Jennica... Theeler,
A super cool and pretty, extra witty, six-star stealer.
One day, this totally, completely fictional, young poet,
Signed up to share her writing on a site (you wouldn't know it).
And when she started posting, she was utterly elated,
To find some of her poems had been exceptionally rated.
One day, while feeling grateful, our dear Jennica did choose,
To spread this joy outside the site, and offer some reviews.
That morning she decided she would start without delay.
Her husband had a big important meeting on that day.
He turned to her and asked, "How do I look?" And she replied,
"Oh, babe, you are a solid SIX," he left a bit tongue-tied.
Then down the stairs, her daughter came, about to leave for school,
And said, "Hey mom, be honest, do you think my shoes look cool?"
"Oh, they're a six," said Jennica, and gave an awkward wink.
Her daughter must've been so pleased, but mumbled, "Thanks, I think."
Off to the grocery store she went, her mission still in sight.
The clerk said, "How's your day?" She said, "A six!" with much delight.
And when her sister texted pictures of her knitted sweater,
She texted back, "OH, WHAT A SIX," with caps on every letter.
At lunch, she gave the hostess six big stars for such great seating.
Another to her book when someone asked what she was reading.
The waiter was top notch, a rave review for him was next,
Although his tip of SIX did leave him just a bit perplexed...
The day continued on with many sixes left to share,
With only one exception, though, this was in fact quite fair.
Some jerk cut right in front of her while on an evening drive,
She couldn't give a six, but wouldn't dare give less than five.
Ok, my friends, we reached the end, no more to be expressed.
And if you are still with me, well, I'm really quite impressed.
May I just say, YOU'RE WELCOME for this piece of pure perfection,
And don't forget to add your six below to my collection.
