Happy Club

by CD Richards

(A song)

We’re happy little Happy Clubbers
Happy as can be
We keep our clubmates happy
By denying you entry

For you will never get our vote
No battle shall you win
Unless you learn to toe the line
And keep your output asinine
For all your thoughts are full of sin

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

In Happy Club we have a rule that
Only smiles are worn
For it’s against our rules to be
Disgruntled or forlorn

Of unicorns and rainbows we can
Speak the whole day long
While butterflies and pussycats
Will always trump your pointless facts
So take a pill and join the throng

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The gatekeepers of Happy Club are
All here to ensure
Our club remains a holy place
A sanctuary pure

Your spelling fetish is a curse
And why, on meter, dwell?
Because your grammar counts for nought
So you can rhyme? We won’t be bought!
We'll see you on your way to hell!
