Why...Us

why
argue
if mankind
does truly seek
peaceful existence
are tongues so different
our understanding's beneath
unbridged water's flowing so deep
that man may drown in greeds inflation
~
for those who follow in footprints made
we must at least erase our stride 
or they will  find  future's lost
let us now ebb that tide
and improve the past
for  they  depend
beyond doubt
upon
us
