Instinct

A funny sort of life 
Which way to go?
I am fighting shadows 
Both fast and slow
 
For what?  
Why do I fight?
Dictated dreams envelope me
I still feel lonely at night 
 
What do I want?
You are so good at telling me.
Act properly, be a lady
Isn't it plain to see
 
That I'm not what you want me to be?
I'm feral, animalistic
Instinctual
Realiatic
 
I reject your rules
I refuse to make my own
I'm a goddess
Without a throne
