Loss and loneliness, during war.
Lost and Found!
by lauralumummu
Standing here, I feel dizzy as the crowd is swirling around me. Shivering from the cold, aware of many voices and children crying, someone hands me a coffee. I sip it gratefully.
I close my eyes and picture my apartment with tears streaming down my face.
Having little money, no friends, or family--
At 75 years old – my home is gone! I have walked for days.
Crying out in my heart, I say, “Dear God what should I do?”
“ Sonia!” A neighbor that I hardly know, shouts. “Come with us my sister has room for you too!”
Gratitude overwhelms me!

I can only imagine what it is like to be a refugee displaced by war. Praying for Ukraine!
