No Admission for Advocates
Present Company Excluded

In this era (error?) of virtual doctor visits, exceptions are, albeit reluctantly, granted. My daughter, after several phone consultations, saw her doctor today sans zoom.
Alas, there are no exceptions granted for patient advocates. Though Lauren would have welcomed my company, the staff wouldn't have. "Superfluous" persons are not admitted.
Lauren's brain is presently in lockdown, due to Multiple Sclerosis a la mode (topped off by exhaustion). She was overwhelmed by the information regarding her treatment options; if I had been present I could have asked questions and taken notes.
As it was, Lauren came home with a plethora of pamphlets on the drugs du jour. I perused them on her behalf. Mercifully, the advisable course of action was clear:
Pick a number, roll the die: each of them sucks in its own special way.
