Blue Moon

A misty moon rises up
up bursting through the skies
skies clad in midnight velvet drapes
drapes clothed in a surprise.

The moon, a sapphire on strings of pearls
pearls strung across the night
night dreams release the dawn of day
day gives me wings for flight.
