75 word Flash Fiction
Twisted Oliver
by kiwisteveh
You know that feeling.
Actually, I rather hope you don't, for the feeling I mean is a dreadful mingling of the sensation a splintered stick makes when violently twisted in your gut, and the paralytic dread of what will certainly happen if you should try to grasp the stick and wrench it out.
For three hungry months fear held out
And then, just once, starvation gained the upper hand.
"Please, Sir, I want some more."
