Ten minute Sonnet

What the Heck!

by kiwisteveh

Oh, what the heck, a sonnet's not so hard,
Da-dum, da-dum is easy as you like.
You needn't be a laureate or bard,
Pick up your quill, get scribbling, on your bike!

The first four lines are done, so now expand;
Just pedal faster, whizzing through the gears.
A pothole here and there may shake your hand;
Just keep your balance, there's no need for tears.

And here, a turn's required, but left or right?
Or is a full one-eighty recommended?
In either case the start or end's in sight.
There's just a couplet left and then we're ended.

So have we left some thought to be admired?
A bike won't stand alone; it's just two-tired.
