You know my methods - work it out.
Which one?

My methods are mathematical
In crime I am fanatical I'm clever and observant as can be. I have a true assistant Though I keep him rather distant And he'll never be as smart as folk like me. Through the foggy, rainy city I shall spin with little pity, A spider's web to catch the ones I hate. I am arrogant, the master, Like the best, but even faster, Opponents may as well just meet their fate. In the world there's just one equal, Shall we find out in the sequel At the Falls of Reichenbach where torrent foams? I'm a scheming super-smarty, Could it be I'm Moriarty? Or maybe, yes just maybe, Sherlock Holmes? |
Famous Literary Characters Verse contest entry
Moriarty was a match for the great Sherlock Holmes, the Napoleon of Crime, as Holmes called him. The two are in some ways, mirror images of each other.
In 'The Final Problem' both men (apparently) fall to their death at the Reichenbach Falls, although the weight of public opinion later forced Conan Doyle to revive Holmes for further stories. read how he escaped in 'The Empty House'.
