A Quatern
A Trillion Petals
by adewpearl
The sun illuminates the sky, but sometimes it's so out of reach that I, who cannot climb that high, need something that will fill the breach. The lowly Earth is my domain while sun illuminates the sky, and that is where I must remain, for I'm not built like birds that fly. But I have learned that I'll get by on gold that springs up from the earth. As sun illuminates the sky, a million blooms give light new birth. My earthly home is not a cage where darkness lurks and dreams must die. A trillion petals light my stage -- one sun illuminates the sky. |
