Listen, can you hear them?
The whispers in the wind
Voices long gone...condemn
Asking, "When is it going to end?"

Soldiers taught to kill
Fighting for a cause
Lie silent and still
We don't stop or pause

Our country they defended
Our Freedom to them we owe
Yet, the wars have not ended
Gravestones testify all in a row

Peace we cry in a loud voice
Does anyone in power hear?
War is not our choice
Will this be the year?
