Falsely Accused

by justjo66

You sought to destroy me
with your slander and lies.
You accused me to everyone
who would listen.
Too afraid to say those
hurtful things to my face.

Oh, how you have fallen,
now it's you who is in disgrace.
Your threats and complaints were unfounded
and all could see your true face.

Your aim was only to harm me.
Yet, it is you that has been hurt.
When you sought to destroy me,
you did not know that
"No weapon formed against me could prosper."

I did not have to fight you
or even say a word.
Unseen armies came to my defense.
My husband saw it in a vision.
Psalm 35 was my answer
as I sat before your angry cries.

I was vindicated and
God's justice you met.

I am being malicously slandered at work and falsely accused. My husband was reclining yesterday in his chair and said he saw a vision of a book opened to Psalm 35. When I read it this morning...I knew it was from the Lord. I encourage you to read it for yourself. God is good. He does fight for us. The quote in the poem is from Isaiah 54:17.
