I took a walk today
down a lonely path.
It led into the ancient woods
where tall trees reached the sky.

On the wind I heard
the conversations all around.
A Blue Jay beckoned me
to come and sit down.

I found a fallen log
quite the comfortable place.
I sat for a very long time
with contentment on my face.

The birds sang their songs
to my delight.
Squirrels and rabbits joined me
while a deer family dropped by.

Bees danced on the warm breeze.
The colorful flowers lent their perfumes.
What a magical place
I had found to call my own.
