You, Talking to me?

by justjo66

"You, Talking to Me?"

You have never heard of communing with a tree?
It's just my personality.
Most would say I'm the analytical type.
Don't give me that city slicker hype.

I want a lonesome road.
No time for your heavy load.
A camp fire at night,
Stars shining bright.

Nature calls me with glee.
A wonderful feeling to be free.
Vistas far and wide
Give me the countryside.

Farms and fields
Crops that yield.
Put spring in my step
Give my life meaning and depth.

Forest, rivers, mountains, too
Have never made me blue.
Land stretching out far and wide
Makes me want to ride not hide.

Come along if you can
I'll let you be the man
I just want to talk to the trees
They understand me.

Just musings about my love for the outdoors. A very rough piece. I could use whatever help you are gracious enoug to leave me. Thanks snickersnax for the wonderful picture.
