I took a drive today
down a lonely blacktop road.
The sun was bright and the air cool.

Then it hit me,
you are gone...gone forever.
No more sunshine or country drives
no more music that you loved.
GONE...a feeling of sorrow
and loneliness filled my mind.

I wept...not for you
my little brother but for me.

I miss your laugh and your phone calls.
I miss hugging that big old barrel chest of yours.
The holidays were not the same.
I'm lonely without you.
