a poem for Earth Day
I Am But Her Spoiled Child

I have breathed her air since the day of my birth. I have sipped from her waters to quench my thirst. She has fed my hunger; I've put my needs first until she is quietly slipping away -- but at least I say, "Thanks, Mom" on each Earth Day. |
