A Ladybug and Butterfly
by adewpearl
"I'm but a ladybug," said she, "and you a butterfly. Your wings expand with majesty across the azure sky." "Why would you stop to share a leaf with one so shy and small? Excuse me for my disbelief you'd notice me at all." "I'm but a butterfly," said he, "whose reign is very brief. No reason why my monarchy should keep me from your leaf." "You looked as if you wouldn't mind a moment's company, and hoping you would be so kind, I took a chance to see." A ladybug and butterfly became the best of friends. No need had they to wonder why, and so this story ends. |
