The tanka is a non-rhyming poem of five lines in 5/7/5/7/7 syllables.
One third of the human food supply depends on insect pollination. As a bee gathers pollen or nectar to eat, pollen rubs off onto its body and then falls off on the next plant it visits, thus pollinating the new flower and keeping crops alive.
