Do falls withhold their water
to spite the stream below,
to flaunt superiority
by blocking off the flow?

Do stars refuse to twinkle
to show the ebon night
it's nothing but a blackened void
without their sparkling light?

Do clovers close their petals
to bees who come to taste,
to prove they are their source of life
and cannot be replaced?

Do we who need importance
to show we are not small
take time to heed the lessons found
within a waterfall?
