Black ash marks contrition upon my brow, penitential submission to a vow to honor the most exorbitant cost Christ paid for my sins on a weighty cross. |

The tetractys is a poem of five lines with syllable count of 1/2/3/4/10. A double tetractys continues the pattern with lines of 10/4/3/2/1 syllables.
