Though snow will fall before this day is done
to add more depth to drifts that shroud the ground,
and clouds will soon obscure the shining sun
which has of late so seldom come around,
I won't surrender or become undone
for I have faith we'll see our Earth rebound,
and soon the skies will fill with birds that sing
a symphony to praise triumphant spring.
