I've held
within my arms
incontrovertible
proof
of what
some still insist
cannot be held up as
truth,
for I
know I have seen
within my daughter's eyes
a love and light sent straight to me
from God.

No, this precious child in the photo is not my daughter. Believe it or not, Miranda was actually even ten times prettier than this baby and is now the loveliest young woman I have ever known.
