Poets be Damned

A crocus somewhere sleeps neath frozen earth to someday serve as harbinger of spring, a messenger of hope who in its birth will cause my soul to soar as robins sing. A frisky lamb will romp with newborn's mirth and joy will reemerge with all life brings. Or so the poets claim, but all I know are howling winds and growing mounds of snow. |
