Were I a Seamstress

by adewpearl

Poem of the Month Contest Winner

Were I a songstress notes would flow
that spoke my love forever true;
were I a seamstress I would sew
the softest quilt to cover you.

But I've not voice nor golden thread
to charm your ear nor warm your bed.
I simply promise I'll enfold
your heart in mine against the cold.
