The season of fall, offers many different views.

Autumns Signaling Leave.

by Mike K2

Brightly colored leaves in the wind, swirl and dance;
like children playing outside for the last chance.
They ground, brown and decay with no formality,
reminding one of their own mortality.

On the windows, icy frost covers in a glaze,
only death can be thought of through the haze.
Sequestered, huddled while in a lonely, cold room,
lost accomplishments, missed chances add to the gloom.

Brightly colored leaves in the wind, swirl and dance;
playing children, show love and hope to the glance.
Foraging animals, make use of Autumn's seasonal loop,
both beast and person, can make good use to recoup.

On the windows, icy frost covers in a glaze,
nature's kaleidoscopic art for one's gaze.
Massaging finger like flame and crackling ember,
a comforting warmth allowing a chance to fondly remember.

Autumn is a cyclical season with various complexions,
but we control our view and the moods of our reflections.
