Life's Many Moods
by adewpearl
I've witnessed scenes of subtlety, soft lit by lambent light, their colors pianissimo, pastel instead of bright. These muted moments take their place in gentlest memories, sweet times of tender quietude, refreshing as a breeze. But other times the world explodes in purple mixed with gold, like bursts of blazing butterflies, whose Day-Glo wings unfold. Vivacious swirls of vibrancy in bold fortissimo -- these are the days I cherish most, the ones of dazzling glow. Life has a place for every mood, each hot or cooling ember, but days of most resplendent hue are those I best remember. |
