A Poem in Quatrains
Choices
by adewpearl
Could I be an explorer of lands as yet untamed, would I scale the steepest peaks so I might stake my claim? Should I trudge through drought and dust, sweat seeping from each pore, to reach a cool oasis upon the desert floor? Slicing through the undergrowth of jungle's dense terrain, what dangers would I face down to make it my domain? I'd rather find a meadow, a grassy, sunlit glade. For fame I'd gladly forfeit if this the choice I made. |
