quatrain poem about the ocean's moods
Ocean Waves
by adewpearl
On gusty days the roaring waves dash hard against the shore -- by gale force winds they're called to crash the sands they slash and score. Adventurers and artists too are drawn to stormy days, when surf is up and pounds the rocks in drama-filled displays. But I prefer a calmer sea with breakers held at bay -- where ocean only laps the beach and surf is just a spray. For I can on a tranquil coast serenely take a stroll, and quietly survey the depths as placid waters roll. |

Earlier today I reposted a poem from September entitled Silence, which also is about how nature can provide us a perfect inspiration and backdrop for reflection - I wrote this as a companion piece.
