One must find their meaning through the sherds.
Through Broken Glass
by Mike K2
He shattered and tossed
out his bad feelings today. No need to look at trophies that make his emotions sway. He loved the challenge, but never went there for himself. Hoping to earn a real nice gift, a sweet thought for someone's shelf. Witches and bastards, mock and chide him for paying such a high price. But his heart out of love, is willing to pay, considering virtue over vice. Perhaps it will remain God's will that efforts go unnoticed and he remains alone. Not meant for nothing but a life's meditation for him, for his soul to hone. He leaves untouched the images and words in his data file. As just a few people told him, "I enjoyed and stayed a while." Maybe the bearer won't find nourishment for the work in planting his seeds. But he means to provide a great taste to savor for someone else that needs. |
Perhaps this is considered a sad one, but to this author it is about the convictions and behaviors that one day, might be appreciated by another.
