quatrains about my children's artworks
My Art Gallery
by adewpearl
I operate a gallery, each piece one of a kind. Both artists worked exclusively in crayon, framed and signed. One series I could recommend - "Space shuttle, flag and tree," has subtle variations in each work as you can see. Sometimes the flag waves to the left and sometimes to the right, but the apples in the green tree are always ruby bright. That larger piece you're gazing at, "Black cat with yellow sun," was entered in a contest once. That ribbon shows it won. I see you've noticed how the art has plentiful supply of flowers sprouting from the grass and rainbows in the sky. And yes, those multicolored hearts express a vision bold, but as I've told you several times, they simply can't be sold. Your offer, while most flattering, is made to no avail - these drawings by my progeny were never meant for sale. |
