quatrains on life's highlights
Recollection
by adewpearl
If recollection were a game
where prizes were awarded, what memories would I enter once sweet remembrance sorted? Which reminiscence from my past might outshine any other? A day from childhood's innocence? A night spent as a lover? How could I search my motherhood, each laugh and tear-filled story, and then declare I'd chosen one from life's vast inventory? While searching for best memory, I've learned through hours of choosing, no nomination's possible - the prize is in perusing. |
