a whimsical romance
Dalliance
by adewpearl
She batted her thick lashes, he tipped his felt-brimmed cap, then sat upon her park bench, like fly to spider's trap. Except he was no victim - he'd only played the fly because this fetching maiden had caught his roving eye. A dalliance, it started, flirtatious couple, they. Coquette and smitten bachelor, an afternoon of play. Who knew that this liaison would spark life-long romance, that day upon the park bench when Grandma met my Gramps? |
