Quatrains on childhood memories
Marbled Memories
by adewpearl
When we gaze into a marble,
what is it that we see? Swirls of mirrored color or years of memory? Is there more than red and yellow contained within each sphere? Perhaps we see the innocence we've lost each passing year. The days of flying kites with tails, of bouncing balls and jacks. Can we recapture how we felt and get those feelings back? When we gaze into a marble, what is it that we seek? In the globe's reflected glory, what memories do we keep? |
