For all those who Carry On
Chiaroscuro skies, contrast of our lives,
Daylight follows dusk, as dusk does dawn. Eventide arrives, humanity survives, Faltering perhaps, but moving on, Gazing toward tomorrow, past what's gone. |

Chiaroscuro refers to a contrast in light and dark, often created by artists in their work to produce the look of volume or substance in their subject. Here, I take it to mean the duality in our lives of light and dark, good and bad, that we reflect upon at year's end as we look toward the future.
