An offer of comfort for any who feel in need
Lullaby
by adewpearl
for anyone in need of comfort
You who have traveled far, I'll be your home - here you'll find respite, for surely you're worn. Though you've lost everything, make me your own; I'll share cruel burden you too long have borne. You who have walked all this way through the storm, I'll be your wind chime and harness the breeze; Dissonant winds in my dance will transform into a soothing song certain to please. When you are weary, I'll cradle your head - I'll be your lullaby, crooned soft and sweet. I'll be the evening prayer said by your bed; within my gentle words you can retreat. When you need slumber, in my arms find rest; I'll be your dreamcatcher all through the night. I'll be the answer to all your requests. Give to me all that's wrong, I'll return right. |
