A ghoulish addition to the a to z series.
Vampire Bats
by adewpearl
Not every animal can be cute.
Abomination - bloodsucker, cave dweller, engorged. Eerie flier - galling, grasping hanger. Hated hemorrhage inducer, inexorable jeopardizer. Kafkaesque. Lacerated? Languish. Malicious nightrider necessitates our pallor. Queasiness. Quenching rampage - sated thirst. Terminator- ultra vampire wannabe. Wanton x-tractor yields zombies. |

Halloween is in the air - the decorations are already up - what better time to have fun with an animal that isn't all cute and pretty? A note on Kafkaesque. You are most likely acquainted with the short story by Kafka entitled Metamorphosis, in which a young man awakes in the morning to find he is now a rather hideous bug whose family is revolted by him. It is not a comedy. Kafka's other works, like The Trial, are all dark, existential, surreal stories in which the hero finds himself in grim and hard-to-fathom situations. Just suits the mood of a vampire bat.
