A Reflection
Silence
by adewpearl
When starlight sparkles and the skies are still, my unspoken thoughts find their perfect home. No sound breaks the silence and never will so long as I keep my thoughts my own. My unspoken thoughts find their perfect home imperturbable in the peace of night. So long as I keep my thoughts my own, I can rest in the calm of the soft starlight. Imperturbable in the peace of night - even shooting stars dare not make a sound. I can rest in the calm of the soft starlight while the world continues to spin around. Even shooting stars dare not make a sound as they streak past Cassiopeia's throne. While the world continues to spin around, each star in the silence seems mine alone. As they streak past Cassiopeia's throne, can I watch them into infinity? Each star in the silence seems mine alone, sparkling gems of celestial tranquility. Can I watch them into infinity - limitless stars in a limitless sky? Sparkling gems of celestial tranquility, they'll outlast us all as time passes by. Limitless stars in a limitless sky, when starlight sparkles and the skies are still, they'll outlast us all as time passes by - no sounds break the silence and never will. |

I'm in a quiet mood today - figured I'd repost a poem about that feeling for all my new friends who've joined Fan Story since I wrote this.
