Bathed In Your Light
by Mike K2
Crevasses ahead! I
am pinned down. Light obscured by clouds, cannot move around! Frozen in place and confused by isolation's void. Exactly where I didn't want to be. I planned well; but this, hoping to avoid. Eyes stung by crystals, ears deafened by the wind's roar. I have pushed my luck so many times and lived. Luck! Can there be anymore? Hunkered down for dear life, I worry and truly pray that a miracle will occur, so I can find warmth and gain composure to once again, make way. The roar succumbs to a whisper, a loving voice that comforts me. The blinding crystals and clouds pass by, you're illuminating my way so that I can see. I am enlivened and warmed, my waist gently squeezed. Your encouragement chimes on, from the lips of your soul. My soul is now pleased. Now basking in the illumination of the twenty-four hour night. I continue on, hoping that you never leave me and I am forever bathed in the beauty of your glowing light! |

The Photograph was taken in 1958 by my father, Louis H.Kohlman.
It is of the moon rising over the Queen Victoria range, Antarctica in June. When the land is bathed by the twenty four hour a day, twilight.
