There is a mystical quality to a good relationship

A Song For Two.

by Mike K2

Incredible!

The farther away from you;
the closer to you,
I feel.
Your glowing spirit wisps,
by me passing on through,
it's real.

Your arms are around me,
the sadder I feel,
the harder the squeeze.

Your head on my shoulder,
your gentle breath,
in my ear whispers to me.

Lost in your eyes,
seduced by your sighs,
the warmth of your skin,
brings comfort to me again,

Your heartfelt devotion,
destroys life's commotion.
Your life's a mystery,
you taunt me with just
snippets of your history.

You're like a butterfly
that hitches to me for a ride.
That awe inspiring inch
worms entraining glide.

You would be a snow flake
that never dissolves...
Or a rainbow that on a
soap bubble, revolves.

You never leave my side,
so life is a gentle ride.
Your voice, very mystical,
your love is very ethereal
coming from the spiritual.

With arms around each other's waist,
eyes locked in a gaze,
sharing each other's breath,
and from our lips,
comes a song for two.

A Song For Two- The Two in this is a double entr??e'- First no matter how much life invades a relationship, I feel the way two partners [dare I say, best friends] should be at the end of the day. Also it is a tribute to the poetry of Twomoons. In my opinion her poetry is some of the best and even if a whisper, it speaks volumes to the mystical and ethereal qualities of her romance poetry. Irregardless of the practical nature of relationships, I believe that a good one at least has a finger pointed in the direction towards the ideal. Her excellent imagery accompanies me through the harshest of climes and at the end of the day, the next post has never disappointed me.

You may not think that this poem could be converted into the lyrics of a song, but I would advise you to research the works of Ian Anderson. More commonly known as Jethro Tull. Jethro Tull is actually the name of the band and Ian Anderson is the singer, acoustic guitarist and flutist of the band. In the albums of "Rupi's Dance" and "The Secret Language of Birds;" the lyrics are both complex and poetic; as well deep and ethereal.

This is a day late, but never short. I recommend Two Moons' poem, "Enchanted Dream." Which is based on one of Ian Anderson's songs (A Better Moon) on his CD, "The Secret Language of Birds." Ian Anderson maintains a website under the same name.
