It takes such a short while...
Missing you!
by Mike K2
When you left, I thought
everything would be fine.
I planned to relax, enjoy
and make the most of the time.
I know that you had to do
your business and leave home.
But I never thought that your
absence would make me so alone.
I know that the business, myself
and home is such a tight fit.
It feels the same, as if you walked
out the door, calling it quits.
I miss our playful conversation,
whimsical pranks and our walks.
You telling me to organize myself,
the quips and our petty squawks.
I stay by the phone and the few
minutes we talk makes me feel OK.
Hearing your voice, looking at your
picture, really brightens my day.
Our special relationship means the
world to me; please do what I do.
It would mean a lot if you could,
keep the best part of me, with you.
When you left, I thought
everything would be fine.
I planned to relax, enjoy
and make the most of the time.
