Two downy feathers
of milkweed fluff,
float on their own
little wisps of air.

Floating, soaring,
diving and rolling;
experiencing exhilaration
of life without a care.

Then just by chance,
or maybe not; a bigger
force pushes them together,
for a shared joy they danced.

Fibres entwined, turning,
floating up and sinking
down, this shared dervish
leaves their lives enhanced.

Fate beckons, they do part
it was destined to be this
way from the start. A bit
sad, but grateful they met.

With a glorious memory, life
does call, they travel alone
through fog, hail and rain, even
groundings. They don't fear
because they were love, thinking
of each other kept them happy,
it is safe to bet.

To the both of them, the wind
of life is their musical score.

They hope for wishes no more.
