Love Letter Sonnet
Poetry Contest
Write a love sonnet taking on the persona of a famous lover. You could be Josephine writing to Napoleon, or Roy Rogers writing to Dale Evans, or Popeye writing to Olive Oyl. Make us feel emotion, swoon, and sigh. No erotica. Keep it behind closed doors and left to the imagination. Any sonnet form is acceptable. Examples are; Shakespearian, English, Italian, Kyrielle, or Pantoum. In your author notes please tell us which form of sonnet you used and also the name of your character. Adewpearl has agreed to be the rules monitor and make sure you used proper sonnet form. Lets have fun and learn a little about famous lovers.
