A Nature Memory
Poetry Contest
I've always been a nature lover, and I wish we had more nature poems here, so I decided to ask for some. :)
The topic for this poetry contest is to tell us about a time, a day, a moment, etc. that you felt at one with nature and were awed by its wonder and beauty. Not just in general. Be specific. Create images for us so we see what you saw, hear what you heard, etc. and hopefully then feel what you felt. Because we want detail, it should be fairly long.
1. Minimum number of lines is 24. You may go higher if you have enough detail to include, but let's have at least two dozen lines so the reader will have plenty of opportunity to see and feel what you did.
2. No rhyme needed, free verse OR rhyme is fine.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 5 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
