The topic for this contest is: A survivors story.
This contest is a story of survival, each writer is required to tell a story of how they survived a situation that life threw at them; it could be a driving test, illness, moving house, etc.
Be as descriptive as you can, and be warned, there will be some stories written here that will be written from the soul, and therefore the stories will be tales of courage and bravery. Some things your readers may find it hard to take in, so please write a synopsis in your description box.
Write a story that somehow incorporates the topic. The story does not have to be specifically about the topic. But should clearly incorporate the topic into the story.
Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
Minimum length 700 words. Maximum Length 7,000 words. Recommended length 2,000 - 3,500 words.
This is a Winless contest. Only authors that have not won first place in 30 days may enter.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 100.00 member dollars. There are only 2 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 120.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
