A Lesson for Writers

What do YOU know?

What would you be able to offer if you were asked to teach other writers? What is YOUR area of expertise when it comes to writing? Are you polished in writing the short story?... Poetry?... The query letter?... Are you perfect with punctuation? Have you experienced earning a living as a Freelancer? What can you share that may help your peers? Maybe you picked up a pen only yesterday, but have already learned something about being a writer. Everyone has something to teach, and most of us want to learn.

Be creative and make the 'lesson' enjoyable to read.

Entries must be written as non-fiction prose. No poems. Judges will be asked to vote for the most helpful, well-written essay/article.

There is no word limit, but it is recommended that your entry be at least 500 words.

Have fun!

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Sunday, August 16, 2009.
