The contest is Prose only and it must be written in the non-fiction categories of medicine, politics, religion, economics, law, feedback from a contest entry, or any other situation that could put you in a position of false hope.
Art work is allowed. In the heading? add your word count and note the category of your story. Some category ideas are listed above.
False hope is generally built around a fantasy, a hope that has no knowable chance of coming to fruition..
Creating false hope is a fallacy, especially of those who are gullible or lost.
The exploitation and creation of false hope in other people for material or mental ? emotional control is at the core of many of the scams found in medicine, politics, religion, economics, law, and many other fields.
Your story can be insightful, or tragic. It can be profound, simple, or any category that works for you... but, YOU, must somehow be connected to the incident of False Hope.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 10.00 member dollars. There are 16 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
