The Story Behind The Song
Pick a song, any song, and write the story that inspired the song. It is usually the other way around, a great romance inspires a song or an event in history like a war inspires a patriotic song.
This can be a song from any era. I don't want to restrict anyone to an era they aren't familiar with. So, this can be a classical piece, rock, soul, rap, reggae, Gregorian Chant or a Klingon Opera, whatever you wish. It must be a song that HAS been recorded and not one from your imagination.
No word limits. You may present your piece any way you wish. Artwork, music, interactive holographic figures that pop out of the computer screen, whatever you can come up with.
What really happened in Strawberry Fields? Are the hills alive with The Sound of Music, or is everybody really wasted? I heard the Girl From Ipanema was ninety years old! When Irish Eyes Are Smiling you know the taps are full!
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 70.00 member dollars. There are 4 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
