Four-legged Wild Animals

Poetry Contest
Please write a poem with a regular rhyme scheme.

Theme must be of just ONE animal species, which has FOUR LEGS and LIVES IN THE WILD. No mention of ANY OTHER PARTICULAR animals, though general terms such as 'prey' are OK.

Legs that could be also used as arms, don't count (as in an ape, for example), in the 'four'.

No mythical or extinct animals.

Min 50 words, max 175 words.

Word count must appear in 'description' above title - NOTHING else there.

ONE PIECE OF ARTWORK ALLOWED - ABOVE AND SEPERATE FROM WORDS.

NO SOUNDTRACKS ALLOWED.

NO AUTHOR NOTES

Words must appear in straight lines without straddling.

Plain black type (no italics, highlighting etc.) on white background only.



The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 35.00 member dollars. There are 11 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
